Joining can be as simple as emailing Ishbaonthego23@gmail.com to obtain a membership form.
Annual membership costs are $50. Meetings are held on line via Zoom quarterly at 7:30 pm on Sunday evenings. 

At Illinois State Home Birth Association, we believe that strength comes from everyone working together. Together we can make change! We are working on several projects and resources for member midwives. We want this organization to provide benefits for all midwives across the State of Illinois  as we strengthen the Home  Birth voice!

March 28th, Workshop in Springfieeld IL Skills and Drills, NRP

It is important for midwives to have breaks or times to renew the midwifery spirit. ISHBA  will make connections possible so maybe you can have other midwives available to cover in times you need to be away. We hope to offer an annual retreat for relaxation and renewal. Look for more information for a retreat in 2025/2026!

We have several projects in mind but first and foremost we would like to work on universal transfer policies for Illinois in alignment with national movements. This is the single most identified need in the US, safe and efficient transfers. 

Continuing education is important and in the future ISHBA will strive for more opportunities to gather and learn!
